Job Summary

Lead and coach Portillo’s restaurant team to deliver hospitality and operational excellence, motivating staff to provide outstanding guest experiences. Responsible for shift planning, scheduling, training execution, opening/closing, cash handling, inventory and budgeting decisions, and ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met. Drive team engagement, recognition, and consistency in service quality while coaching for continuous improvement and department profitability.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-3 years of Restaurant Management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant setting
  • Working knowledge of restaurant operations, recruiting, scheduling, food planning and preparation, sanitation, food quality, and security
  • Understanding of P&L and restaurant operations
  • Must pass required certified sanitation and responsible alcohol vending courses
  • Great communication skills; ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with team members, managers, and guests
  • Flexibility to work 50+ hour weeks, rotating shifts (including nights and weekends), and holidays
