Job Summary
Restaurant Manager at Portillo’s responsible for leading a high-performing team, coaching and scheduling staff, ensuring operational standards and sanitation, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and making data-informed decisions around inventory, budget, and labor. Must oversee shift planning, training, opening/closing, cash handling, and maintain strong communication to foster a positive, guest-focused culture in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of Restaurant Management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant setting
- Working knowledge of restaurant operations, recruiting, scheduling, food planning and preparation, sanitation, food quality, and security
- Aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence
- Understanding of P & L and restaurant operations
- Ability to pass required sanitation and responsible alcohol vending courses
- Great communication skills
- Must be able to read, speak, and understand English
