Job Summary
Manage all aspects of restaurant, coffee shop, and in-room dining operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination. Run floor shifts to oversee opening, closing, and service procedures, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team while providing operational oversight of the beverage program. Foster a positive work environment, maintain a guest-first approach, and resolve concerns promptly. Monitor inventory, labor costs, and sales trends to drive profitability and implement cost-saving measures. Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and social media teams to develop menus, create promotions, and ensure accurate POS programming. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Requires flexible schedule, three years of leadership experience, and proficiency in MS Office and F&B software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least three (3) years' experience in a leadership role in the restaurant industry
- Understanding of the Washington, DC market
- Experience in high volume dining and fine dining background
- Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular) and F&B software systems (i.e. POS and F&B procurement system)
- Cost control and financial management
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Work well under pressure, be a team player
- Must have a flexible schedule that is conducive to the operations and needs of the business
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on an occasional basis
- Must be able to sit for one (1) hour, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day
