Job Summary
Oversee daily food and beverage service within the club's restaurant operations, ensuring seamless member experiences and adherence to service standards. Supervise service staff to maintain consistent quality, monitor reservations for shift functions, and execute room setups for upcoming events. Complete opening and closing procedures for all shifts while managing side work assignments to keep areas orderly and sanitary. Assist in training and development of the team through daily line-ups, weekly meetings, and special sessions. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu and liquor offerings, recording shift tasks in the log for handoff. Participate in staff meetings and address operational challenges by collaborating with regional teams. This junior management role requires hands-on support during low-volume periods and attendance on weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, restaurant, or private club setting
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity
- Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule
- Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred certifications include Food Handlers Certificate, Alcohol Safety, STAR Service Certification, STAR Trainer Certification, TABC Certification, and CPR Certification
- Completion of all food & beverage online training modules: Service Training, Host Training, Bartender Training, Server Assistant Training, Banquet Server Training, Beverage Cart Attendant Training, Kitchen, Employee Training, F&B Refresh Training, Culinary Safety, Food Safety, and Alcohol Safety
- Strong experience handling highly confidential material such as member and employee data
- Proficient in computer skills, including spreadsheet software, with strong communication abilities and demonstrated leadership skills
