Job Summary
Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, managing reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel's reservation system. Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and communicate estimated wait times while accommodating special seating requests. Maintain cleanliness of the host stand and entrance area, answer phone calls, and assist with inquiries regarding hours and reservations. Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction, monitor dining room flow, and assist with guest recovery. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant hosting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant
- Regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards
