Job Summary
Greet guests at the door, determine seating preferences, and guide them to tables while making casual conversation. Thank patrons upon departure and ensure special needs or accommodation requests are met. Answer phones, take messages, and manage reservations while maintaining an accurate wait list. Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls and the State Gaming Agency. Occasionally buss tables to expedite efficient seating. This role requires RAMP certification and the ability to read seating charts, review reservations, and perform basic math. You must work nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation. The environment involves standing for long periods, climbing stairs, and working in a smoke-filled casino with loud noises.
Required Qualifications
- RAMP certified
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Reading and writing abilities
- Must be able to read, review and understand seating charts
- Basic mathematical skills
- High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience in a high volume, service focused environment
- Ability and willingness meet the applicant's schedules when needed
- Ability and energy to move about [the] facility
- Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning
- Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- Use of going up and down stairs multiple times per day and elevators
