Job Summary
The Statehouse General Manager oversees The Edgewater’s flagship Statehouse Restaurant, Augie’s Tavern and hotel In-Room Dining, driving guest satisfaction and revenue. Responsibilities include leading direct reports, conducting pre-shift meetings, creating procedures to enhance guest experience, managing payroll and tip-out, coaching staff, participating in menu development and beverage programs, performing financial reviews, ensuring compliance with liquor liability laws, health and safety procedures, and maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance. The role requires 18+ with a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality/restaurant management, 2+ years of leadership experience, strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, restaurant management or equivalent
- Combined 2+ years of strong leadership and management/supervisory experience in restaurant management
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Effective communication with guests and staff
- Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize
- Working knowledge of general restaurant operations and food and beverage
- Understanding of financial statements and labor productivity
