Job Summary
Plan and direct all restaurant operations, recruit staff when needed, train and coach staff, implement standard operating procedures, manage staff performance and schedules, ensure health, safety and hygiene standards, interact with customers, advise on food and beverage choices, oversee food and beverage preparation and presentation, monitor portion sizes and waste, handle cash management and budgeting, analyze management reports, drive operating improvements, manage supplier relationships and inventory, supervise maintenance and repairs of equipment, and lead cost-control and revenue-generation efforts to optimize restaurant performance.
Required Qualifications
- tertiary qualification preferred
- previous experience in food and beverage management
- experience in staff management and development
- knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- experience in analyzing financial data
- knowledge of planning and forecasting
- able to use relevant computer applications
