Job Summary
Italian-national General Manager to oversee operations, guest experience, and brand identity at an upscale Italian fine dining restaurant in Doha, Qatar. Responsibilities include maintaining high hospitality standards, managing a wine program with the Sommelier, aligning menu changes with inventory and pricing, driving P&L performance, overseeing procurement of Italian imports and luxury ingredients, optimizing labor, and leading recruitment, training, and a collaborative BOH/FOH culture. Must ensure authentic Italian hospitality and brand integrity, with strong collaboration with culinary leadership; onsite in Doha with a focus on premium guest experience and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
- Italian nationality is a MUST
- Minimum 2 years of Restaurant Management experience in fine dining or upscale polished casual environment
- Strong knowledge of Italian wine regions and pairings; Sommelier certification (CMS or WSET) highly preferred
- Financial literacy; experience managing P&Ls, budgeting, and hitting food/labor cost targets
- Fluent English
