Job Summary
The Restaurant General Manager at Gjusta oversees daily restaurant operations across kitchen and floor, hires/trains staff, creates work schedules, and maintains profitability with full P&L oversight. Responsibilities include managing guest relations, resolving issues, enforcing service standards and cleanliness, coordinating with Head Chef on menus, updating POS and menus, leading staff development, ensuring safety and sanitation compliance, and driving overall guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Requires 5+ years of management experience, strong leadership, hospitality focus, budgeting acumen, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight is expected; must be able to lead and coach a team, manage inventory, and uphold company standards across service, quality, and atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in restaurant management
- Manager Food Handler Certification - Food Handling & Sanitation Awareness
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient with computers and POS technology
- Strong leadership, coaching, and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of FIFO, safety, sanitation and health codes
