Job Summary
Restaurant Floor Manager assists the Restaurant GM in day-to-day operations of Eataly’s full-service restaurant, overseeing front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers and barbacks. Responsibilities include hiring, training, evaluating and terminating employees; documenting and resolving incidents; ensuring service standards and health/safety compliance; managing front-of-house needs and intake orders; reviewing sales, inventory and costs to monitor budget; planning activities with dining room and bar staff; and performing other duties as required. Requires 2+ years of experience in leading/front-of-house management and a knowledge of steps of service; Bachelor’s or Associate in Restaurant Management or Hospitality preferred; Italian cuisine knowledge and a Food Handler’s License preferred. Availability to work onsite with flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and mobility for up to 8 hours.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing a front-of-house restaurant team
- Understanding of steps of service
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Restaurant Management or Hospitality preferred
- Food Handler’s License preferred
