Job Summary
Restaurant Busser (PM/Evening Shift) at Beacon Grand, a Union Square hotel in San Francisco. Supports PM/evening restaurant service by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the dining room; resetting tables with linens, service ware, glassware, utensils, and decorative elements; assisting service staff; replenishing supplies; and anticipating guest and operational needs. Maintains a polished appearance and professional, unobtrusive guest interaction; collaborates with servers, hosts, bartenders, culinary staff, and managers; adheres to food safety and workplace safety procedures. Requires prior customer service experience; 1–2 years of restaurant, food and beverage, or luxury hospitality experience preferred; Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Service Certification may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required.
- 1–2 years of restaurant, food and beverage, or luxury hospitality experience preferred, ideally in an upper-upscale or luxury hotel environment.
- Prior busser, food runner, server assistant, or room service experience preferred.
- Food Handler Certification required, or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Alcohol Service Certification required, if applicable by local law and outlet standards.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
