Job Summary
Restaurant and Hospitality Manager oversees the dining service department for a senior living community, directing planning, budgeting, purchasing, and staff coaching to ensure high-quality meals and resident satisfaction. Responsibilities include menu program development including special diets, budgeting and cost controls, safe food handling and sanitation, staff training and performance management, ordering and inventory of food and supplies, and maintaining compliance with health standards. Requires leadership to supervise dietary staff, coordinate with the Executive Director on hiring and performance evaluations, and ensure consistent service quality and resident experience during mealtimes. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, ServSafe certification (or equivalent), and 1+ year in food services prep with 2+ years of staff management; proficiency with MS Word/Excel and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in food services preparation
- Two years' experience managing staff
- Current Serv/Safe Certification and/or local/state required food handling/sanitation licenses
