Job Summary
Manage grounds maintenance, lawn care, and landscaping at designated rest areas, including mowing, pressure washing, painting outdoor areas, and planting flowers and shrubs. Keep public spaces clean, neat, and free of debris while removing trash and organizing storage areas. Perform minor repairs to buildings and grounds, maintain parking lot lines, and report vandalism, accidents, or maintenance issues. Safely operate equipment such as tractors, zero-turn mowers, and blowers while adhering to all safety rules and FDOT policies. Work independently with little supervision to ensure facilities meet inspection standards and provide friendly service to visitors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- At least 1 year of experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or operating related equipment
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Ability to work 40 hours per week (6:30 AM- 2:30 PM)
- Ability to communicate with managers via phone, text, or email
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and trustworthy
- Must adhere to the company's drug and alcohol policy
