Responsible Welding Coordinator

Job Summary
Responsible Welding Coordinator leads welding coordination and compliance to EN 1090 and related standards. Develops, reviews, and controls Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQRs); maintains welding traceability and documentation; ensures welder qualifications and training; provides technical welding support to fabrication, production, and QA teams; participates in project reviews and fabrication planning; supports non-conformances, repairs, and corrective actions; liaises with QA/QC personnel and third-party auditors; drives continuous improvement in welding quality, efficiency, and safety; promotes welding safety and environmental controls.
Required Qualifications
- Experience reading engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Strong knowledge of EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834
- Proven fabrication or structural steel environment experience
- Ability to develop, review, and control Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQRs)
- Familiarity with welding-quality documentation and traceability
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to welders and supervisors
- Experience supporting audits and third-party assessments (notified bodies)
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement in welding quality, efficiency, and safety
