Job Summary
Organise Responsible AI support for the Big Bet agenda, partnering with Business and Platforms to deliver best-in-class risk mitigation and monitoring solutions. Shape repeatable risk and control patterns for Group-wide reuse and establish a programme of enablement through the AI Academy and hub-and-spoke model. Support escalations of ethical edge cases to the Data & AI Ethics Committee and advise senior leaders on safe, ethical AI adoption. Lead the maturing of responsible AI approaches across the Group while promoting a culture of ethical standards. Full-time hybrid role based in Edinburgh, Leeds, or Bristol.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in AI or a related field or equivalent
- significant industry experience working in a responsible AI-related role
- A good understanding of Cloud technologies including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the Responsible AI tooling available on GCP / VertexAI
- Proven experience developing AI solutions to the highest ethical standards, including directly engaging with AI product teams
- Demonstrable expertise in responsible AI, including a firm understanding of the regulatory and legislative landscape
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior partners and course correct initiatives towards strategic outcomes
- Experience in Financial Services
