Job Summary
The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County is seeking a full-time 4-H Youth Educator to deliver science-based programs (STEAM, healthy lifestyles) and recruit participants across diverse communities. The role requires travel, flexible hours (evenings/weekends), and a valid NY driver’s license, with a compensation rate of $25.05/hour plus comprehensive benefits. This position emphasizes urban programming and collaboration with partner organizations to advance youth development through extension programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- An Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree
- Experience relevant to the role
- Ability to meet frequent travel requirements
- A valid NYS driver’s license with the ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage
- Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends
- Ability to effectively deliver assigned programs; meet program goals; and meet data collection and reporting requirements
- Technology Skills - Microsoft Office suite, internet, and program related software
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with staff, community leaders, program participants, and others

- Coursework in youth education, sciences, or related fields
