Job Summary
Deploy oil boom and sorbent materials for clean-up activities while performing preventative maintenance and inspections on response equipment. Operate small boats using navigation and radar equipment, adhering to all company policies and completing required administrative tasks. Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license, passport, and TWIC credential. Work onsite in Honolulu, HI, with physical requirements including standing, lifting up to 45lbs, and operating in all weather conditions. Report directly to the Site Supervisor as part of a team supporting MSRC's mission to protect coastal waters.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- A Valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record
- Possess or obtain a Passport, and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Ability to comply with MSRC's mission, which may include returning to your work site within 2-hours for an emergency response
- Travel as required by business need
- Participate in MSRC's Drug and Alcohol Program and Medical Surveillance Program
- Requires standing, lifting up to 45lbs, and ability to wear the required personnel protective equipment
- Able to work in various temperatures, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and environmental conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn safe practices and operations is a plus
