Job Summary
Provide compassionate, temporary care and supervision for clients with developmental disabilities living at home, assisting with daily living activities like feeding, dressing, and grooming while maintaining safety and never leaving clients unattended. Work a minimum of two hours per appointment, follow specific care instructions from guardians, and submit accurate timecards and daily notes via UCPIE's online systems. Respond to team calls within 24 hours and report any safety concerns immediately. Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications, keep personal information up to date, and adhere to all company policies and the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan. Note that clients may not be transported.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (personal or professional experience accepted)
- Good communication (written and verbal)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Negative TB test (updated every 3 years)
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and registration
- Ability to pass a background check through FBI and DOJ
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to perform CPR
- Ability to climb stairs when necessary
