Respite Worker - Full-time

Job Summary
As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in the In Home Respite program, provide person-centred care, support daily living, and help clients stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. Travel between clients' homes throughout the day to deliver care, assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), aid mobility and transfers, plan/prepare nutritious meals, perform light housekeeping, offer respite to families, monitor home safety, and collaborate with healthcare teams. Roles involve working across days, evenings, and weekends with a focus on delivering care within the clients' homes. Must hold PSW or Developmental Services Worker certification, have First Aid/CPR as applicable, possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle, be able to pass a Criminal Records Check, and wear PPE as required. Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker or Developmental Services Worker certification
- Nursing students who have completed first year of RPN or BScN or internationally educated nurses are eligible to apply
- Must have a current Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate, if applicable to the work being performed
- Must enjoy driving, have a personal vehicle and possess both a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
