Job Summary
As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) delivering in-home care through the Adult Day Program, you will provide person-centred support across clients' homes, assisting with daily living activities, mobility and safety, and helping develop and implement care plans. Responsibilities include personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), aiding mobility and transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, respite care for families, monitoring the home environment for safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Travel between clients' homes is required; the role emphasizes quality, compassionate care and maintaining clients' independence in their own homes.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker or Developmental Services Worker certification
- Nursing students who have completed first year of RPN or BScN or internationally educated nurses are eligible to apply
- Current Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate
- Must enjoy driving, possess personal vehicle, current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
