Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and running errands. Offer simple emotional and psychological support while promoting mental alertness through engaging activities. Maintain records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes to supervisors. Participate in case reviews to evaluate client needs and plan continuing services. Adhere to all agency policies and complete required in-service training.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- More than two years of experience
