Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and household errands. Establish relationships with clients and families while promoting mental alertness through age-appropriate activities. Maintain records of client progress and services, reporting changes to supervisors. Participate in case reviews, attend required in-service training, and adhere to agency policies. Requires a valid driver's license, automobile, and proof of insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.
- Minimum of three references required
- Must have an automobile and a valid driver's license
- Must have proof of car insurance
- Pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- More than two years or experience preferred
