Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and household errands. Offer emotional support, promote mental alertness through engaging activities, and instruct clients on nutrition and hygiene. Maintain accurate records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes to supervisors. Participate in case reviews to evaluate needs and plan continuing services while adhering to all agency policies. Requires a valid driver's license, automobile, and proof of insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
