Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, and housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands. Offer emotional support, promote mental alertness through therapeutic activities, and instruct clients on household management. Maintain records of client progress and services, reporting changes to supervisors. Participate in case reviews to evaluate needs and plan continuing services while attending required in-service training. Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
