Respite Support Worker

Job Summary
Assist clients with daily living activities in their homes, including personal care, hygiene, ambulation, and household tasks like cooking and cleaning. Provide one-on-one care, emotional support, and safety monitoring for youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable. Prepare client progress records, report condition changes to supervisors, and participate in case reviews to evaluate ongoing needs. Maintain household cleanliness and advise clients on nutrition, hygiene, and utilities. This part-time role offers an opportunity for full-time employment with Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare, which provides support services to families of children with developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to perform prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting
