Job Summary
Provide personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including administering medicine and managing daily activities. Assist clients with community access by arranging transportation to services and utilizing technology for supervision to ensure their health and welfare. Maintain medical records and report any suspected maltreatment, abuse, or neglect as a mandatory reporter. This role offers competitive payments based on the level of support and duration of respite, with services delivered in the individual's home or the provider's residence. Candidates must be at least 18, possess a valid driver's license, and pass a criminal background check. Sample Supports over-communicates to tailor services to individual plans while ensuring the best fit for participants.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
- Must have dependable and reliable transportation with the ability to safely transport
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must meet approved motor vehicle record standards for providing transportation for individuals in services
- Must be able to pass Child/Adult Protection Services check
- Must meet approved motor vehicle record standards for providing transportation for individuals in services
- Due to the nature of the work performed at Sample Supports, and that this position works with an at risk population, we do require a criminal background check be completed
- Must be competent and willing to perform Non-Violent Crisis Intervention physical managements as trained
- Each position is considered a mandatory reporter
