Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and errands. Give simple emotional and psychological support while establishing relationships with clients and families. Instruct clients on household cleanliness, utilities, hygiene, and nutrition. Maintain records of client progress and report changes to supervisors. Participate in case reviews and attend required in-service training. Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- More than two years of experience
