Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety, well-being, and mental alertness through therapeutic activities. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and running errands while instructing clients on household management. Maintain accurate records of client progress and services, reporting changes to supervisors, and actively participate in case reviews and in-service training. Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, including passing a criminal background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and car insurance. This Part-Time role offers an opportunity for Full-Time employment within a team dedicated to supporting families of children with developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
