Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety, well-being, and mental alertness through therapeutic activities. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and household errands while instructing clients on nutrition and hygiene. Maintain accurate records of client progress and services performed, reporting condition changes to management. Participate in case reviews, attend required in-service training, and adhere to all agency policies. This role requires a valid driver's license, automobile, and proof of car insurance, with a preference for candidates holding more than two years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to perform prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting
