Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and running errands while promoting mental alertness through therapeutic activities. Prepare and maintain records of client progress, reporting changes to supervisors. Instruct clients on household cleanliness, utilities, hygiene, and nutrition. Participate in case reviews, attend required in-service training, and adhere to all agency policies. Requires a valid driver's license, automobile, and proof of car insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references required
- Must have an automobile and a valid driver's license
- Must have proof of car insurance
- Pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting
Desired Qualifications
- More than two years or experience preferred
