Job Summary
Provide one-on-one care to youth and young adults when primary caregivers are unavailable, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, ambulation, cooking, cleaning, and household errands. Offer simple emotional support, promote mental alertness through age-appropriate activities, and instruct clients on nutrition and hygiene. Maintain records of client progress and services, reporting changes to the manager or supervisor. Participate in case reviews, attend required in-service training, and adhere to all agency policies. Requires a valid driver's license, automobile, and proof of car insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a strong service orientation
- Active listening skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Close monitoring of clients
- Minimum of three references
- Must have an automobile
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of car insurance
- Must pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting
