Job Summary
Develop, implement, and monitor the Saturday Respite Connections program, which provides engaging activities to enhance social skills and confidence for youth ages 3-21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supervise Direct Support Professionals through interviews, annual evaluations, and quarterly meetings while managing their hiring, training, and oversight. Coordinate all program activities at The College of New Jersey, conduct intake interviews for new participants, and lead expansion efforts through correspondence with families, school districts, and local groups. Enter progress notes, confirm attendance records, maintain youth information files, and submit required documentation to funders by specified deadlines. Order materials, track expenses, and collaborate with community groups and Care Management Organizations to promote program growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- background in Social Service field (social work, special education, psychology, etc.) preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of direct work with individuals with disabilities and their families
- Program development and administration experience preferred
- Associate Degree/courses toward degree
