Job Summary
Provide in-home respite care to clients in the Connecticut River Valley area, including Springfield and surrounding towns. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care and hygiene, aiding mobility, planning and preparing meals with clients, light housekeeping, reporting health changes, offering companionship, responding to emergencies, accompanying clients on shopping trips, reminding about medications, and assisting with transportation to appointments. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Benefits include PTO, mileage reimbursement, direct deposit, continuing education, flexible scheduling, and shifts available (8- or 12-hour). Roles available full-time and part-time. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license and vehicle, strong communication, first aid training, and ability to meet health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a Valid Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients
- Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
- Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times
- Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
- Willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (background check)
- Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
