Respiratory Therapy Tech

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and emergency care using prescribed equipment, gases, drugs, or required methods. Perform pulmonary diagnostic studies for patient assessment, place patients in proper positions for comfort and safety, and take, record, and monitor vital signs and conditions. Observe patients during procedures, take corrective action as necessary, perform reporting functions, and ensure equipment and supplies remain available and in proper condition. Requires high school graduation, formal respiratory therapy course completion, and National Board of Respiratory Care Certification.
