Job Summary
Oversees Respiratory Therapy department operations and staff, coordinating schedules and activities of Respiratory Therapists and EKG Technicians; participates in chart audits and continuous quality improvement; collaborates with physicians and supporting clinicians; ensures equipment maintenance and patient-care standards; requires active Respiratory Therapist licensure, CRT/RT credentials, and BLS/ACLS certifications; must possess strong communication, data-entry skills, and leadership abilities to supervise staff and support quality care in a hospital/clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
