Job Summary
Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients from neonatal to geriatric ages. Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation while drawing, analyzing, and reporting Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs. Deliver intermittent therapy, assist with changing artificial airways, and review and document all clinical information per physician orders and established policies. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Work a flexible schedule including 24/7, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability while traveling between facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
