Job Summary
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen, aerosol, and airway management while managing ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems. Perform pulmonary diagnostics such as ABGs and PFTs, implement patient-specific care plans, and document all activities in the EMR. Respond to code blue and rapid response events, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts in a high-acuity critical care environment. Requires current RCP license, RRT certification, and BCLS/ACLS certificates. Full-time nights shift with relocation assistance available for candidates moving from outside Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years experience as an RCP
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree
- ACLS certificate
- NRP certificate
- PALS certificate
