Job Summary
Lead the Respiratory Therapy program by providing effective leadership for ongoing program planning, course scheduling, assessment, and fiscal management. Collaborate with faculty to promote maximum commitment, organize teaching loads and quarterly class schedules, and develop interprofessional educational opportunities. Secure clinical sites, acquire programmatic accreditation, and administer learning site budget allocations while recruiting, hiring, and evaluating faculty. Represent the program in the community at large and provide instruction for courses each quarter. Maintain high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service under the direction of the Campus President at the Atlanta campus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a healthcare related field of study
- Possess a valid GA Respiratory Care Practitioner license (active and current)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (active and current)
- Familiarity with planning, assessment, and evaluation process
- Curriculum Development experience
- A minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs
- Complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program
Desired Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate preferred
- Additional advanced-level professional credential(s) preferred
