Job Summary
Assess and treat cardiopulmonary conditions using advanced therapies including medical gas administration, aerosol treatments, hyperinflation techniques, and mechanical ventilation management. Administer diverse therapies and manage both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation while providing emergency care. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement tailored multidisciplinary care plans across NICU, PICU, pediatric cardiac ICU, transport, and ECMO specialties. Apply specialized respiratory care knowledge to recommend interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary issues.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree program in Respiratory Care
- Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Maryland State License
- BLS CPR certification
- Minimum two years of experience with demonstrated and documented clinical and operational systems competency in a comparable respiratory care services division
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Interest or experience in neonatal/pediatric respiratory care or ECMO preferred
