Job Summary
Perform specified, limited respiratory therapy procedures under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner. Complete all first-year clinical rotations for the Respiratory Care CoARC accredited program and demonstrate successful completion of the first semester respiratory therapy curriculum. Maintain active attendance in the accredited program while holding current BLS and ACLS certifications. This entry-level role supports East Alabama Medical Center's mission of high-quality, compassionate health care for patients across the region.
Required Qualifications
- High School, GED and/or appropriate Certification
- Successful completion of first semester respiratory therapy
- Successful completion of all first-year clinical rotations for respiratory therapy program
- Actively attending a Respiratory Care CoARC accredited program
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in hospital, home care or skilled nursing facility
- Member American Association Respiratory Care/state Society Respiratory Care
- BLS, ACLS
