Job Summary
Provide supervised evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies within the student scope of practice. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, adjusting care based on clinical outcomes and patient response. Monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team, ensuring accuracy in all records. Educate patients and families on disease management, prescribed medications, and treatment protocols to support recovery. Must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Rotating shift PRN schedule available at Ascension Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- High school diploma equivalency
- Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline
- Must be enrolled in accredited Respiratory Therapy program
