Job Summary
Teach respiratory therapy courses and develop/maintain curriculum to achieve program goals; deliver instruction using varied methodologies, monitor and assess student learning outcomes, and contribute to program improvement and accreditation efforts. Maintain an engaging, inclusive classroom environment; provide proactive advising and office hours; participate in student affairs activities; mentor new faculty; ensure instructional materials and equipment are current and in good condition; collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to support student success and program growth. Stay current with industry trends and best practices; adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards and document grades, attendance, and advising in institutional systems.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and current state license
- 2 years' field experience
- Instructors must be appropriately credentialed for the content areas they teach
- BLS for the Healthcare Provider
