Job Summary
Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction to students in respiratory therapy courses, utilizing diverse teaching methodologies to support various learning styles. Maintain regular communication with students regarding progress and provide academic advising, tutoring, and office hours to ensure timely responses to inquiries. Regularly assess student learning outcomes and utilize data to contribute to program improvement processes, including program review and accreditation compliance. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support student success and mentor new faculty members. Ensure classroom and lab equipment is available and in good working condition while documenting grades and advising information in designated software systems.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential
- current state license
- BLS for the Healthcare Provider
- 2 years field experience
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise
- ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- ability to perform basic calculations relevant to course material and student assessments
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
