Job Summary
Respiratory Therapy Director to oversee a 15-RT unit and all facility respiratory services (traches, BiPAP/CPAP) at Sellersburg Healthcare Center. Directs staffing, education, budgeting, and compliance; ensures quality patient care; develops and revises department policies; maintains equipment/inventory, and participates in interdisciplinary teams, performance improvement, and regulatory adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of AMA approved program for Respiratory Therapy
- RRT credential
- unencumbered license
- minimum of 5 years prior experience in respiratory therapy
- 3 years of previous management experience preferably within an acute care hospital
- BLS and ACLS certification
- ability to project a professional image
- knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals
- ability to identify learning needs and teach patients and families
- working knowledge of PC software
