Job Summary
Deliver respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs, and assist with changing artificial airways per physician orders. Review and document clinical information for each patient encounter while educating the healthcare team on procedures and treatment plans. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
- 2 years respiratory therapy experience
- Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
