Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) delivers respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting, including administering treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management), managing ventilators/BiPAP/CPAP/high-flow oxygen, performing ABGs and PFTs, implementing patient-specific care plans, documenting care in the EMR, and responding to code blue/rapid response events. May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts. Requires RCP license, NBRC RRT certification, BCLS; ACLS within 60 days; PALS within 60 days; NRP/BS degrees preferred. Relocation available for candidates relocating from outside Illinois. Salary range $1,332–$1,792.80 per week on a 36-hour schedule (base), equivalent to $37.00–$49.80 per hour; Night shift; Chicago Metro Area, IL.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
- 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
- ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current
- NRP certificate preferred
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
