Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in an acute care setting delivering respiratory therapies and diagnostic services. Responsibilities include administering treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management), managing ventilators and high-flow systems (BiPAP/CPAP), performing pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs), implementing patient-specific care plans, documenting in EMR, responding to code blue/rapid responses, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and potentially serving as Lead RCP during shifts. Requirements include RCP license, NBRC RRT certification, current BCLS, ACLS within 60 days of hire, and HS diploma or equivalent; BS/AS degrees preferred. Relocation assistance offered for candidates relocating from outside Illinois; compensation range $37.00-$49.80/hour equivalent to $69,264-$93,226 per year on a 36-hour week (3x12s). The role is full-time, non-exempt, located in the Chicago metro area with access to comprehensive benefits and a fast interview/offer process.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required
- ACLs certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
