Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Relocation Assistance available for candidates relocating from outside Illinois. Delivers respiratory therapy treatments, manages ventilators and airway support equipment, conducts pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs), implements patient-specific respiratory care plans, documents in EMR, responds to code blue/rapid response events, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts. Requires state RCP license, NBRC RRT certification, BCLS on hire (and maintained), ACLS within 60 days, with NRP/PALS preferred. 2 years RCP experience preferred; degree base: associate or BS preferred; high school diploma required. Eligible for sign-on and relocation benefits; night shift with potential shift differentials in a fast-paced acute/critical care environment.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC
- 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
- ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
- NRP certificate preferred
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
