Job Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management), manages ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems, conducts pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs), implements patient care plans, documents care in the EMR, responds to code blue and rapid response events, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts. The role requires state RCP licensure, NBRC RRT certification, and current BCLS; ACLS within 60 days, PALS within 60 days, and NRP preferred. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Relocation assistance available for candidates relocating from outside Illinois; compensation includes base pay with shift differentials and a fast interview/offer process.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required
- 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
- ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
